Lunch Break

Oil on linen on panel, 6 x 6 inches -- SOLD

Around the Memorial Day Weekend, my husband and I drove to Bishop, CA, from central Washington to see his family. I saw so many interesting landscapes and animals on this trip. I took a bunch of photos for painting reference. This cow was one of them. She seemed to be enjoying the California sunshine. After painting the entire canvas with brushes, I used a palette knife to mix more oil colors and added another layer to create texture.

Your cow paintings are exquisite. I know that's an unusual adjective to describe cows; but with yours, it fits!
