This is Shantie walking in the tailwind in our front yard.She is a Buff Orpington chicken, and has very fluffy golden feathers. I love watching her walking in the afternoon sun light, especially on a windy days like this.
I reworked on this painting to enhance the values. It was for Celebration of Western & Wildlife Art Show in Puyallup, WA, last weekend. I brought my potable easel outdoor and painted in front of the grassy spot to get a better reference of the light and color of the landscape.
