Sophie is a female Delaware chicken, and one our three six-month-old chicks. She started laying eggs last week. She is very curious about many things. She's particularly interested in my left hand because of the silver wedding ring I'm wearing. She just likes to peck at it. I love looking at her, in different lighting around the garden throughout the day. This is a painting of Sophie walking among the bellflowers.
