Cabin at Riverside

Oil on canvas on panel, 6 x 6 in. - Click Here to Bid

My painting friend Lynne and I visited a quite few places as potential painting sites around Spokane, WA. I saw a cute little stone house at the Riverside State Park. This outbuilding is actually a public restroom. I love the old roof covered with green liken and the stone walls. I modified the window to make it look more like a homestead. This is another subject matter I could paint in a series. Now I have more things to paint to be added to my long to-do list... I might just paint all those interesting old buildings anyway, and call them "barns" or "cabins." Then I will have a cohesive body of work of the rustic "outbuildings." :-)
