Sophie is one of our baby chicks we got in May.She is a Delaware chick. This is another piece I did as a painting demo this afternoon. I usually paint, standing on my feet, at studio or in the field. But I was sitting on a chair for the demo. I realized that it takes longer for me to paint when I'm seated, because I can't judge the values and proportions on canvas effectively. After a long painting session, I walked away, and got disappointed to see what I just painted. If I'm standing, I can step back frequently, and check what's going on before keep working on the wrong track. I ended up spending some time touching this up in the studio.
