Yellow Apple in Purple

Oil on linen on panel, 6 x 6 inches -- Click Here to Buy

I did this painting as a practice for painting with minimal brush strokes. I used three different colors of purple paper for the background. The apple I picked did look geometric with multiple faces. So I sort of painted it as is. This is one good example of how you can make the composition more interesting with a few pieces of colored paper.
