This piece won the Best of Show--Oil Award at the 2011 Celebration of Western and Wildlife Art Show which took place in Puyallup, WA, in October, 2011. The model of the painting is Moe, a baby chick that our friends got this spring. Now, she is a beautiful Buff Orpington hen.
